Our Lady’s RC primary school in Acomb, York, enjoyed a World Book Day with a difference as they dressed up for CAFOD. The book they chose was the most important book of all; staff and children dressed as characters from The Bible and dedicated the day to raising money for CAFOD. The day’s events began with a fashion parade as a vast range of familiar names from the Old and New Testaments took to the school stage to show off their costumes. Later a number of unlikely Biblical companions who in their normal life are year 6 turned the school playground into a shopping arcade, selling a range of their own home-made goods for CAFOD. In total, the day raised £400.
