One of Middlesbrough Dioceses’ #BigIF’s in Hyde Park

Over twenty CAFOD Supporters made the trip from Middlesbrough Diocese to Join 45,000 other protestors at the #BigIF demonstration in Hyde Park.  The whole event gave a serious message to G8 leaders and to all those around the world who can do something positive to end world hunger. It is a terrible indictment of our world that 3 million children die every year simply because they cannot get enough food. This in spite of us producing enough food to feed everyone on the planet.

One of the most moving aspects was the display of flowers commemorating the lives of the 3 Million children who die every year through hunger and the deep silence following Rowan Williams slot.

If you haven’t done so already, take CAFOD’s Hungry for Change online action on this website or, order the Hungry For Change campaign action cards for your parish and ask everyone in your parish to sign a card. order your cards by calling 0300 011 5680
